- BEQUEST
- A charitable bequest is one of the easiest and most significant ways to plan a gift on behalf of the Lutheran Deaconess Association. A bequest allows you to provide an unrestricted gift to the LDA, fund your favorite program, or establish a scholarship or perpetual fund.
In addition, a bequest will let you:
- make a larger gift than might have been possible during your lifetime
- retain control of assets during your lifetime
- enjoy an unlimited estate tax charitable deduction
- reduce your taxable estate
- modify your gift as your circumstances change
How It Works
Creating a bequest is easily accomplished through a simple addition to your will, trust, life insurance policy, or retirement plan. The gift to the LDA may be stated as a percentage of your estate or from its residual. A separate agreement with us is made to describe the eventual use of your gift.
