The Orientation Seminar welcomes the new class into community and begins their journey to understand what it means to commit to diaconal ministry.  The new class joins returning students who begin a few days earlier.

Seminar weeks are centered in prayer and worship, theology study, learning about diaconal ministry, building community with other students, individual meetings with the LDA staff, and time for personal reflection.  Students attend Annual Seminars every year during formation. The Spring Seminar may be co-ed while the Fall Seminar is reserved for women.
